Legal Notice
What Tunecamp is — and isn't — responsible for.
The Project vs. the Instances
Tunecamp is open-source software, not a service. Every Tunecamp server ("instance") you can reach on the network — including the ones listed and previewed on this website — is installed and operated independently by its own operator, on their own infrastructure.
The Tunecamp project and its contributors do not host, upload, sell, moderate, or control any music or other content on those instances, and are not a party to any purchase made on them. Each instance operator is solely responsible for the content they host, the sales they conclude, their terms of service, and their privacy practices.
If you believe content on an instance infringes your rights, contact that instance's operator
directly — every instance ships with a built-in report function and legal contact page
(/terms on the instance).
Software License
The Tunecamp software is released under the MIT License. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the software or its use.
Running a public instance may subject you to legal obligations in your jurisdiction (hosting liability, consumer protection, data protection, tax). Understanding and meeting those obligations is the operator's responsibility.
Privacy on This Website
This website is a static informational site. It keeps your visit to itself:
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. Your theme
preference is stored locally in your browser (
localStorage) and never leaves it. - Fonts and scripts are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts or other third-party CDNs when loading the site.
- Live previews contact instances directly. The Explore page and the Player fetch public catalog and activity data from independent Tunecamp instances: when they load, your browser sends a normal HTTP request (including your IP address) to those third-party servers, each governed by its own operator's privacy policy.
Since no personal data is collected by this website itself, no further GDPR notice is required for browsing it. For anything else, reach us via GitHub.
External Links & Trademarks
Links to instances, documentation, and community channels point to resources operated by third parties; the project is not responsible for their content. Names and logos of third-party services mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners.
